Reviews
"Femicide, a mysterious stranger, a mysterious person, blackmail, assassination attempts, an eerie monastery at night:" Who is Rex? "Offers everything that Paul Temple fans love. High tension is guaranteed until the great detective gathers all suspects in the final scene and exposes one of them as a murderer. "
Others
John Bentley took over the role of Paul Temple from Anthony Hulme and played this until the end of the film series. The German dubbed version is considered lost, which is why a new German dubbed version was made for the DVD release in 2015. The author revised this slightly in 1967/1968 and brought it out again as Paul Temple and the Alex Affair . This was also set to music in Germany in 1968 as Paul Temple and the Alex case , with Paul Klinger.
DVD publications
The film was released by Renown Pictures in English-speaking countries in 2009, and in 2015 Pidax released a new dubbing that contains extensive bonus material (in addition to audio commentary, an interview with Francis Durbridge's son and a Paul Temple short story that has never been translated).
