Memorial stones for five murdered members of the Burian family in Židlochovice

The list of memorial stones for Nazi victims in Židlochovice contains memorial stones that were laid in the South Moravian town of Židlochovice (formerly Groß Seelowitz ) in the Czech Republic . They remind us of the fate of people of this city, which in the era of National Socialism of the Nazis were killed. The memorial stones consist of small memorial plaques laid in the ground . Their shape is reminiscent of Gunter Demnig's stumbling blocks .

Richard Burian was born on July 27, 1887. He and his family were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 4, 1942 with Transport Ah . His transport number was 502. In the same year he was deported with Transport Ap to the Rejowiec ghetto and murdered there. His second transport number was 524.

Charlota Burianová b. Haczeková, also Charlotta, was born on September 29, 1875. She and her family were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 4, 1942 with Transport Ah . Her transport number was 501. In the same year she was deported with Transport Ap to the Rejowiec ghetto and murdered there. Her second transport number was 523.

Gertruda Burianová was born on May 29, 1920. She and her family were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 4, 1942 with Transport Ah . Her transport number was 505. In the same year she was deported with Transport Ap to the Rejowiec ghetto and murdered there. Her second transport number was 527.

Irma Burianová b. Steinová was born on May 1, 1890. She and her family were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 4, 1942 with Transport Ah . Her transport number was 503. In the same year she was deported with Transport Ap to the Rejowiec ghetto and murdered there. Her second transport number was 525.

Hilda Krausová b. Burianová was born on October 27, 1914. She and her family were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on April 4, 1942 with Transport Ah . Her transport number was 504. In the same year she was deported with Transport Ap to the Rejowiec ghetto and murdered there. Her second transport number was 526.

Alfred Steiner was born on November 18, 1875 and became a merchant in Židlochovice. He married Olga Rosenbergerová. After the German troops marched in, Alfred Steiner had to hand over his grocery store to a "trustee". On March 30, 1942, Alfred Steiner and his wife were forced to leave their hometown. They were deported to Brno. On April 4, 1942, both were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on Transport Ah . Alfred Steiner's transport number was 499. On April 25, 1942, the couple were deported from Theresienstadt to the Warsaw ghetto on Transport An . Alfred Steiner's transport number was 839. This time there were 1000 women and men on the train, 11 of them survived. Steiner was murdered by the Nazi regime in 1942.

Olga Steinerová b. Rosenbergerová was born on January 1, 1887. She married the businessman Alfred Steiner. On March 30, 1942, Olga Steinerová and her husband were forced to leave their hometown. They were deported to Brno. On April 4, 1942, both were deported from Brno to the Theresienstadt ghetto on Transport Ah . Olga Steinerová's transport number was 500. On April 25, 1942, the couple were deported from Theresienstadt to the Warsaw ghetto on Transport An . Olga Steinerová's transport number was 840. She was murdered by the Nazi regime in 1942.
