Stumbling blocks in Smolenice

The list of stumbling blocks in Trnavský kraj contains the stumbling blocks in the Slovak region of Trnavský kraj (Tyrnau Regional Association). Stumbling blocks remind of the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide by the National Socialists . They were designed by Gunter Demnig and are usually also laid by himself. Stumbling blocks are usually in front of the last self-chosen place of residence of the victim. They are called pamätné Kamene (memorial stones) in Slovak .

Some of the tables can be sorted; the basic sorting is done alphabetically according to the family name.

Zelený stream Mária Schulzová was the youngest of the three children of Ľudovít Winter and Leona nee. Schauer (1878-1934). She married Pál Schulz, the couple had two children, Agnes (1928−1992) and Andrej (1929-2012). Mária Schulzová was deported to Bergen-Belsen on January 5, 1945 , which was liberated by British troops on April 15, 1945. She fell ill there but died a few weeks later in May. Her children, father, and siblings survived the Shoah . Mária's daughter Agnes Schulzová married Zoltán Žuzič. Daughter Katarína (born 1954) emerged from this relationship, the great-granddaughter Deniska was born in 1974. Her son Andrej married Alžbeta Lörinczova. The daughter Andrea was born from the marriage (born 1966). Andrea married the German physicist Arthur Steinel and lives in Germany. After visiting the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, she decided to have a stumbling block laid for her grandmother Mária Schulzová in Piešťany . The transfer in front of the victim's birthplace took place on August 6, 2016.

Fridrich Beinhacker was born on September 3, 1907. He was married. His last residence before the deportation was in Neštich, today Smolenická Nová Ves, a district of Smolenice. On April 13, 1942, he was the transit camp Sereď in the Auschwitz deported. He was murdered there.

SNP 290/85 Jakub Sidon was born on December 26, 1896 and 1897 in Smolenice. He was a farmer and with Júlia Sidonová, b. Blue married. On April 11, 1942, he was deported from Trnava to the Lublin ghetto . In 1944 he was murdered in Auschwitz concentration camp . The couple had their daughter Blanka, born in 1934, who was also murdered in Auschwitz.
