Verkhny Koropetz ( Ukrainian Верхній Коропець ; Ruthenian Вирьхньый Коропиць ; Russian Верхний Коропец Werchni Koropetz , Slovak Vyšný Koropec or older Koropic , Hungarian Felsőkerepec or older Felsőschönborn ; German Upper Schönborn ) is a village in the west of Ukraine Zakarpattia Oblast with a population of 1,300 (2004).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1300, is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the southeast of Mukachevo Rajon . The villages Bukowynka ( Буковинка ), Kutschawa ( Кучава ) and Kuschtanowyzja ( Куштановиця ) also belong to the district council .
Verkhniy Koropez is located on the N 09 highway 48 km southeast of the Uzhhorod oblast center and borders the eastern outskirts of Mukachevo .
