Wermelskirchen circular route
The Wermelskirchener Rundweg is a 34-kilometer circular hiking trail around the town of Wermelskirchen . The trail has a circle Ο as a signpost . The signposts are updated at regular intervals by the Wermelskirchen local department of the Sauerland Mountain Association .
During the construction of the Great Dhünntalsperre , the road in the south of the city was flooded and had to be relocated for several kilometers. It now leads through the riparian forest of the dam.
