The Wittener Rundweg is a 57-kilometer circular hiking trail around the city of Witten . Since the route follows the Witten city limits, it also runs in sections in the neighboring cities of Wetter (Ruhr) , Sprockhövel , Hattingen , Bochum , Dortmund and Herdecke . The road signs are updated at regular intervals by the Dortmund-Ardey branch of the Sauerland Mountain Association .

  • Stage 1 (13.0 km): Wetter (Ruhr) - Sprockhövel-Scheideweg
  • Stage 2 ( 07.7 km): Sprockhövel-Scheideweg - Hattingen- Steinenhaus
  • Stage 3 (13.1 km): Hattingen-Steinenhaus - Bochum-Grabeloh
  • Stage 4 (10.4 km): Bochum-Grabeloh - Dortmund-Kruckel
  • Stage 5 (13.0 km): Dortmund-Kruckel - Wetter (Ruhr)
