Werner Brand

Werner Brand (born January 18, 1933 in Löbau , Saxony ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

biography

Brand has lived in the Palatinate as a draftsman, graphic artist and painter since 1962; first in Rülzheim , later in Speyer . Since 1967 numerous solo and group exhibitions. Brand created melancholy landscapes and detailed still lifes. He has received numerous awards and has been a member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund, Stuttgart, since 1979. From 1989 to 2000 he taught as a lecturer at the Herxheim painting school . He lives and works in Hochstadt in the Palatinate . In 2016 he brought his entire fortune, consisting of his artist house with studio and the works of art in it, to the "Werner Brand Art Foundation".
