He then celebrated his greatest successes with the Krefeld team around Matthias Herget , the brothers Friedhelm and Wolfgang Funkel , Werner Vollack and Horst Feilzer . In 1985 he won the German Cup in the final of the DFB Cup against FC Bayern Munich , experienced furious matches in the European Cup Winners' Cup and achieved third place in the 1985/86 Bundesliga season with Uerdingen . FC Kleve took over. After separating from head coach Arie van Lent in early March 2009, Buttgereit was also relieved of his duties. For the new season in the NRW League , however, he was hired again as assistant coach under the new coach Georg Kreß at 1. FC Kleve.
