Werner Kunzenmann

Werner Kunzenmann (born September 22, 1920 in Innsbruck ; † September 19, 2012 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian publisher , publicist and deacon . From 1974 to 1981 he headed the Tyrolia Verlag in Innsbruck.

Life

Kunzenmann was drafted into the Wehrmacht after graduating from high school . He remained in US captivity until 1946 . He then studied philosophy at the University of Innsbruck ; In 1952, he was "The Awakening and the development of the religious consciousness" to Dr. phil. PhD.

As early as 1948 he joined the advertising department of the Catholic weekly newspaper Der Volksbote in Innsbruck, which was published again in 1946 and has now spread throughout Austria. Kunzenmann was editor-in-chief at Tyrolia Verlag in Innsbruck ; In 1969 he became deputy and from 1974 to 1981 he was the publishing director under the general director Georg Schiemer . In 1976 he was appointed to the board of directors of the publishing house Tyrolia Gesellschaft mbH, which had resided in Exlgasse since 1969.

In 1971 he was ordained one of the first deacons of the Innsbruck diocese . After leaving Tyrolia, he studied theology ; In 1984 his diploma thesis in Innsbruck was published: "The Permanent Diaconate in Austria". From 1984 to 1992 he headed the editing and administration of the Sunday newspaper for the Diocese of Innsbruck Church . In 1993 he founded the diocesan book publisher Kirche. Seventeen works were published in this, including a documentary about the provicer Carl Lampert .

He was a member of the board of the Austrian National Institute and reserve officer of the second armed forces , most recently in the rank of lieutenant colonel in the reserve. He published u. a. military policy and civic contributions.

Kunzenmann was married and the father of seven children.
