Werner Stiehr
Werner Stiehr (born May 3, 1905 in Harzhof , Eckernförde district , † January 3, 1982 in Lübeck ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).
Live and act
After finishing school, Stiehr earned his living as a clerk , dispatcher and accountant in grain businesses.
In the late 1920s, Stiehr joined the NSDAP. In this he first took over on September 1, 1929 the office of a local group leader for Segeberg . In 1930 he became a squad leader in the Sturmabteilung (SA) and on September 1, 1930 he became district leader of the Segeberg district . He was also a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Provincial Parliament and a member of the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schleswig-Holstein . In addition, he was a member of the board of directors of the National Association for Internal Mission .
In the early 1930s, Stiehr made a name for himself in his homeland by participating in violent clashes between the National Socialists and political opponents. He also attracted rhetorically through sharp attacks on his opponents ("Whoever is against us will be beaten to pieces.") And on the Jews in his region.
After the National Socialists came to power in the spring of 1933, Stiehr became a member of the district council of the Segeberg district. In his capacity as district leader, Stiehr set up the Kuhlen concentration camp near Rickling . At the same time he systematically eliminated the mayors, heads of office and other political office holders with Nazi-critical attitudes in his region.
From the spring of 1933 until the dissolution of this body in the autumn of the same year, Stiehr was a member of the Prussian state parliament . He then sat from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 13 (Schleswig-Holstein) . Since March 1933 he was also district deputy in his home country and since February 15, 1937 a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Labor. From September 1939 he led SA Standard 213, which was stationed in Segeberg. From the end of March 1940, Stiehr headed the Gaustabsamt for the Gauleitung Sachsen for a short time and from the beginning of August 1941 was a member of an advisory committee of the Berlin Reich War Damage Office. But as early as 1941 Stiehr was called back to Schleswig-Holstein. From 1941 to 1945 he acted as a representative of the Gauleiter Hinrich Lohse, who between 1941 and 1945 held the post of commissioner in the Reichskommissariat Ostland and commuted between Kiel and Riga. Stier held the post of Gauge manager for this.
In 1947 Stiehr was tried at the Bielefeld Court of Justice . He was sentenced to three years in prison as a member of the political leaders and knowing of the criminal use of this organization .
