Administratively, the township borders in the north on the Borough of Milton and a corner of the Turbot Township , in the east on the East Chillisquaque Township and in the south on the Point Township . In the west on the other bank of the West Branch Susquehanna River lies Union County with (from south to north) the East Buffalo Township , Lewisburg and the Kelly Township . Chillisquaque is located on Chillisquaque Creek, where Routes 147 and 405 cross Chillisquaque Creek, only about one kilometer above its confluence with the West Branch Susquehanna River. Where this is crossed by Route 45 is East Lewistown and further east, not far from the intersection of Route 45 and Route 405, Montandon , which has been defined as a census-designated place since 2010 and has a post office.
