The Westgate Resort & Casino (formerly The International Hotel, Las Vegas Hilton & formerly LVH-Las Vegas Hotel & Casino) is a casino and hotel in Las Vegas and is located on the north of the Las Vegas Strip . It is operated by Westgate Resorts. The Westgate has 2956 rooms and 305 suites. Next to the hotel complex there is a 19,000 m² congress center. The Las Vegas Monorail stops at the hotel. The hotel is mentioned exclusively at the end of the film " Over the Top (from 1987) ". This hotel is also the setting in the 1971 Bond film Diamonds Are Forever starring Sean Connery . On February 10, 1981, there was a fire in the hotel in which 8 people were killed.
