Plant & history

The building was opened on December 17, 2003 as an extension of Mandalay Bay, but was run as an independent hotel from the start. It is visually very similar to the main house. When they opened, the buildings even had identical lettering. It was only changed to THEhotel in 2006 in order to show the independence from the outside.

The hotel has 1117 guest rooms, all of which are suites of different categories. At the time of opening, it offered the largest standard suites in Las Vegas. In 2012 MGM announced the renaming to Delano Las Vegas . After the completion of renovation work, including all guest rooms, the hotel reopened on September 2, 2014.

On the top floor there has been a restaurant called Rivea and the Skyfall Lounge nightclub since October 1, 2015 . The restaurant is run by Alain Ducasse .
