Wetzelzdorf is a district of the Lower Bavarian market Teisnach in the Regen district .

location

Wetzelsdorf is located on the community road from Furthof to the REG 18 district road near Teisnach-Oed. The small district is on the Teisnach . The Teisnach market is about 3 kilometers to the north, the district town of Regen 13 kilometers to the southeast and Patersdorf about 2 kilometers to the southwest. The nearest train station is in Gotteszell, 8.5 kilometers away, with hourly connections to Plattling and Bayerisch Eisenstein . The nearby Patersdorf and Teisnach train stations are on the Gotteszell – Blaibach railway line , on which traffic is only operated as far as Viechtach today. This railway line is only used for tourist trips and for repair operations. The closest federal highways are federal road 85 and federal road 11 , which run through Patersdorf. The next motorway is in Deggendorf, 24 kilometers away, with federal motorway 92 , which leads to Munich .

Wetzelsdorf was first mentioned in a document around 1100 on the banks of the Teisnach as the first place in the community. A large farm is located in the district. 53 people live in Wetzelsdorf (as of June 30, 2013). The place has a village square with a maypole , which the local village community sets up every year.
