The Whitefish River is a 35 km long left tributary of the Stillwater River in the US state of Montana .
River course
The Whitefish River forms the drain of Whitefish Lake . He leaves the 914 m high lake in the Rocky Mountains on its south bank. Then it flows through the small town of Whitefish . The Whitefish River initially flows south-southeast, later south. The Stillwater River runs further west and the Flathead River further east . The Whitefish River eventually reaches Kalispell . There it flows into the Stillwater River, a few kilometers above its mouth into the Flathead River.
Hydrology
