Wianka van Dorp (born December 1, 1987 in Vlaardingen ) is a former Dutch rower .

Athletic career

Wianka van Dorp started rowing in 2004. At the U23 World Championships in 2008 she won the silver medal with the four-man without a taxwoman , and in 2009 she and Olivia van Rooijen received the bronze medal in the two-man without a taxwoman . The two also competed in two at the 2009 World Championships , but only finished in fourteenth and penultimate place. In 2010 Wianka van Dorp rowed eighth in two World Cup regattas , and at the 2010 World Championships she finished tenth and last in two with Olivia van Rooijen. The following year, Wianka van Dorp and Olivia van Rooijen started together with Elisabeth Hogerwerf and Femke Dekker in a four-man team without a helmsman and won the bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships . For the 2012 Olympic Games , van Dorp and van Rooijen tried to qualify in two without a helmsman, but were eliminated in the hope run of the qualification regatta in Lucerne.

In 2013 Wianka van Dorp switched to the double foursome , which won the silver medal behind the German boat at the 2013 European Championships in the line-up of Wianka van Dorp, Sophie Souwer , Lisa Scheenaard and Nicole Beukers . In 2014, Wianka van Dorp rowed in eighth place, finishing fourth at the European Championships and eighth at the World Championships . After the silver medal at the European Championships in 2015 , the Dutch eighth at the 2015 World Championships missed the direct Olympic qualification for 2016 with sixth place. Wianka van Dorp and the Dutch eighth started the 2016 Olympic season by winning the silver medal at the European Championships . At the qualification regatta in Lucerne, the Dutch eighth finished shortly afterwards behind the Romanians and qualified as the last women's eighth for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . There the Dutch eighth reached sixth place.
