geography

Wiedermuth is located northwest of Ebeleben on the state road 1032 from Ebeleben to Deuna, leading in the undulating arable farming area around the city center. On the eastern edge of the village, the Loosbach flows into the Helbe flowing from the north .

history

The village was first mentioned on July 7th, 1128. Wiedermuth was once a church property in the village of Marksussra . There was a court place where people were sentenced and burned. The plague raged here in 1598, 1611–1612 and 1635. As a reminder of the tragic events, the plague linden tree stands in the village. In 1892 the residents built a new church in Gothic style. Until 1918 the place belonged to the rule of the principality Schwarzburg-Sondershausen .

On March 8, 1994 it was incorporated into Ebeleben. In 2008 there were 181 inhabitants. In the 1950s, the farmers of the village also had to take the path of collectivizing their farms.
