St. Peter

The Evangelical Lutheran listed church of St. Petrus is located in Wiedermuth , a district of the city of Ebeleben in the Kyffhäuserkreis in Thuringia . The parish Wiedermuth belongs to the parish area Ebeleben the parish area Ebeleben-Holzthaleben in the parish of Bad Frankenhausen Sondershausen the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The church was canceled the medieval predecessor building to higher altitudes spot 1892/1893 according to plans of the Princely Building Authority Sondershausen built. The hall church in neo-Gothic style has a rectangular church tower in the east and a polygonal choir attached to it . In front of the nave there is an annex in the west that contains the portal . The walls and corners are supported by buttresses . The tower is covered with a high four-sided tent roof between triangular gables .

The interior is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The retracted, raised choir has a diamond vault. The wall painting and the ceiling painting date from the construction period. The galleries , the pulpit , the baptismal font and the church stalls are decorated in a neo-Gothic style, as is the organ front . The organ with 15 registers , divided into two manuals and a pedal , was built by Adam Eifert in 1893 .
