Viktorija Wiktorovna Ussachenko ( Russian Виктория Викторовна Усаченко ; born December 14, 1982 in Pyatigorsk ) is a Russian boxer . She is a seven-time medalist at world and European championships.

Career

Viktorija Usachenko comes from Pyatigorsk in the Stavropol region . She started boxing there as a teenager and is a member of the Dynamo Pyatigorsk sports club . She is trained by NV Harutjunjan. She studied psychology at the University of Pyatigorsk.

As early as 2001, it was used by the Russian Boxing Association at the European Women's Championship in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux , the first European Women's Championship to be held. She started there in the weight class up to 50 kg body weight (KG) and took 3rd place after a demolition victory in the 2nd round over Maria Semertzoglou, Greece , and a defeat against Hasibe Özer from Turkey , which she won her first medal in a won international championship. Thereafter, there are no more results from her until 2004. This year, with a point victory in the final over Jelena Saweljewa, she became Russian champion in the weight class up to 50 kg (from the years before and from 2005 and 2006, the results of this championship are unfortunately not known). In 2004 she started at the European championships in Riccione / Italy and afterwards at many other international championships and tournaments. At the European Championships in Riccione, of which no individual results are known, she fought for second place in the weight class up to 50 kg body weight behind Simona Galassi from Italy, but ahead of Hasibe Özer and Diana Ungureanu from Romania .

In 2005 Viktoria Usachenko won medals at two international championships. First a bronze at the European Championships in Tønsberg / Norway , where she won in the weight class up to 50 kg against Yvonne Medby, Norway on points (23:16) and lost to Hasibe Özer in the semi-finals on points (7:22). In September 2005 she fought her way at the second women's world championship in Podolsk in the same weight class after winning points over Chen Chia-Ling, Taiwan (18: 9) and losing points to Ri Hyang Mi, North Korea (18:29) another bronze medal.

Another medal was added at the 2006 European Championships in Warsaw . She reached the final there, in which she was defeated by Hasibe Erkoc from Turkey (8:14) on points and thus became Vice European Champion. In contrast, she won no medal at the 2006 World Cup in New Delhi . After a demolition win in the 2nd round over Vicky Pelletier from Canada , she lost there in the quarterfinals against Li Siyuan from China and therefore only finished 5th. In 2007 Viktorija Ussachenko was again Russian champion in the weight class up to 50 kg. On the way to this success she defeated Syrchin Schambalowa, Ekaterina Verzhizkaya and Lyubov Mordvina. At the 2007 European Championships in Vejle / Denmark , she started in the weight class up to 52 kg and won there with points over Katalin Kiss-Fekete, Hungary a . Ayse Tas, Turkey (8: 5) and a point defeat in the semifinals against Wiktoria Rudenko, Ukraine (5.8) again a bronze medal. There were no world championships this year.

To win the Russian championship in 2008, Viktorija Usachenko needed five wins. She suggested u. a. in the semifinals and final Jelena Saweljewa (17: 7) and Alexandra Kuleschowa (23:10) on points (class up to 50 kg body weight). At the 2008 World Championships in Ningbo , China , she started again in the weight category up to 52 kg, but was already defeated by North Korean Tong Song Hye in the round of 16 and therefore ended up in 9th place together with all the losers in the round of 16.

After Viktorija Ussachenko had become Russian champion again in flyweight in 2009 with a points win over Jelena Saweljewa, she started bantamweight at the European Championships in Nikolayev / Ukraine . She won there over Eugenia Tasidou from Greece on points, but had to admit defeat on points by Ukrainian Ivanna Krupenia in the semifinals (2: 4) and thus came back to 3rd place. This medal was her seventh and, for the time being, last medal she won at an international championship. In 2010 she was again Russian bantamweight champion, beating Anshela Ulyanova on points in the final battle (15: 5), but she was not used at the 2010 World Cup in Bridgeport / Barbados .
