Wilfried Eisele

Wilfried Eisele (* 1971 in Saulgau ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian specializing in the New Testament .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1991, Wilfried Eisele attended the Ambrosianum theological pre-seminar in Ehingen (Danube) from 1991 to 1992 . From 1992 to 2000 he studied Catholic theology and philosophy in Tübingen , Jerusalem ( Dormition Abbey ) and Paris ( Institut Catholique de Paris ). From 1992 to 1997 he was a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation . After the main theological examination in 1997 (first service examination) for theologians of the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart and the Magister Artium 2000 in philosophy, he completed the pastoral course in the Rottenburg seminary and the diaconate in Ehingen from 2000 to 2002 . After graduation in 2002 to doctor of theology and the priesthood in 2002 in Weingarten (Württemberg) he worked from 2002 to 2006 Member of the Executive Board of the World Foundation Jerusalem. From 2002 to 2004 he was vicar in Aalen .

From 2007 to 2008 he was deputy dean at the Theological academic year Jerusalem . From 2008 to 2010 he was a lecturer in Hebrew and Greek at the Ambrosianum, first in Ehingen, then in Tübingen. After completing his habilitation and being granted the license to teach the subject of the New Testament in 2010, he represented the chair in the New Testament subject at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2010 . From 2010 to 2011 he taught as professor for New Testament sciences at the Theological University in Chur . From 2011 to 2017 he taught as a professor for contemporary and religious history of the New Testament at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the WWU Münster . Since April 2017 he has been Professor of the New Testament at the Catholic Theological Faculty at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . His research focus is the Lukan double work.
