Wilfried Turk

Wilfried Turk (born July 23, 1941 ; † June 29, 2012 in Bremen ) was a German architect and president of the Bremen Chamber of Architects.

biography

Turk graduated from high school on Parseval Strasse in Bremen. He studied architecture at a technical university and became a graduate engineer. He was married and had several children.
He worked in Bremen with partners until after 2000, since 1972 in the architectural office of Turk, Borchers and Richter. He specialized in social buildings such as kindergartens and old people's centers. His significant works were u. a. the old people's center Horn-Lehe , the old people's center in Ichons Park with Landhaus Caesar-Ichon in Oberneuland , the old people's center Rembertistift , the foundation residence Riensberg , the residential complex Hoffmannspark on the Wümme- Niederung, a vocational training center in Stendal , a retirement home in Nordhorn and the retirement home Waisenallee in Lübeck .

  • Turk was President of the Bremen Chamber of Architects from 1988 to 2002, succeeding Wilhelm Klocke ; his successor was Michael Frenz in 2002. Previously he was u. a. Chairman of the Chamber's Urban Development Committee.
  • Co-founder of the Friends of the Broadcasting Hall of Radio Bremen .
