Wilhelm Berding

Wilhelm Peter Berding (born May 3, 1833 in Vechta , † November 9, 1918 in Hanover ) was a German councilor and general director of the mechanical weaving mill in Linden .

Life

Wilhelm Peter Berding took over the management of the mechanical weaving mill during the time of the Kingdom of Hanover in the course of growing industrialization in 1865.

During the founding days of the German Empire , Berding, who had meanwhile been appointed to the Commerce Council, became one of the founders of the Hannover-Linden Manufacturers' Association on November 30th, 1887 , together with "[...] Eduard and Ernst Meyer, Berthold Körting and [... den ] Herren Königswarter, Breul, Jänecke, Prinzhorn and Schwarz ”. Wilhelm Peter Berding was elected the first chairman of the association.

Berdingstrasse

Berdingstrasse , which was laid out in 1928 in the Linden-Nord district of Hanover , and which connects Leinaustrasse with Brackebuschstrasse , has since been posthumously honoring the general director with its name .
