Wilhelm Britzelmayr
Wilhelm Britzelmayr (born August 27, 1892 in Passau ; † 1970 ) was a German bank director, economist , logician and university professor .
Life
Britzelmayr studied economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he wrote his dissertation on wealth tax or estate tax? PhD. In 1942 he became director of Süddeutsche Bodencreditbank in Munich , which later became part of Hypo Real Estate .
After the end of the Second World War , Britzelmayr founded a facility for logistical research in Munich, which was connected to Heinrich Scholz's logic school and organized logic colloquia from 1947 on. a. Georgi Schischkoff , Ulrich Klug and Kurt Schilling gave presentations. At the suggestion of Aloys Wenzl , Britzelmayr was given a teaching position for logistics at LMU in 1947 . In the winter semester of 1948/49, Britzelmayr made it possible for the computer pioneer Konrad Zuse to speak about his applied logic and the first programming language Plankalkül in his colloquium on formal logic . At the beginning of 1949 Britzelmayr's teaching assignment was converted to an honorary professorship and in 1956 to a full professorship . He was co-editor of Orbis academicus , the archive for mathematics , logic and basic research and of experience and thought . In 1958 he pushed through the appointment of Wolfgang Stegmüller . From 1962 his subject was called Logic and Basic Research .
Britzelmayr laid the foundation for the Munich logic school, to which u. a. Max Drömmer (* 1927), Franz von Kutschera and also Walter Hoering and Wilhelm Essler (* 1940), who did their doctorates with him, belong.
Wilhelm Britzelmayr retired in 1968 .
