Wilhelm Friedrich Heim , from 1893 von Heim , from 1898 Freiherr von Heim (born November 11, 1835 in Hildburghausen , † December 27, 1912 in Meiningen ) was a German politician and Minister of State of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen.

Life

Born the son of a court secretary, Heim studied law in Heidelberg , Göttingen and Jena after attending grammar school in Hildburghausen . During his studies in 1855 he became a member of the fraternity in the castle cellar . In Jena he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . After completing his studies, he became a judicial assessor in the justice service of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen in 1863 and an assessor in the State Ministry in 1865 . There he was in 1866 Government and lecturer Council and State Council in 1873. From 1873 to 1889 he was chairman of the ministerial department of the interior, then until 1902 of the justice department and the department for church and school matters and thus of the upper church council. For this he was the representative of the duchy in the Federal Council . He became Minister of State in 1890 . In the State Ministry of Saxony-Meiningen he was in charge of the Ducal House and Exterior Department from 1890 to 1902. In 1902 he retired. He founded the Meiningen regional association of the German Fleet Association and worked there as a board member.
