Wilhelm Tuschen

Wilhelm Tuschen (born May 22, 1903 in Hörde near Dortmund ; † June 21, 1961 in Andernach ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .

Life

Wilhelm inks completed after high school, first as a bank clerk and then studied for three semesters Jura . Since 1924 Tuschen was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Hohenstaufen Freiburg. From 1925 he studied Catholic theology in Paderborn and Freiburg . He received on 5 April 1930, the sacrament of Holy Orders . Until 1944 he worked as a vicar in Herne and Dortmund, interrupted by an assignment as a foreign pastor in Latin America in 1934/35.

After a short time as pastor, he became a Regens at the Paderborn seminary in 1947 . 1951 doctorate he in Freiburg with a thesis on the prophet Amos to Doctor of Divinity and with effect from 1 January 1952 by the Paderborn Archbishop Lorenz Jaeger for vicar general appointed.

On August 21, 1958, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as auxiliary bishop in Paderborn and titular bishop of Antipyrgos . The episcopal ordination received inks on 29 September of the same year by Archbishop Jaeger. Co -consecrators were Bishop Franz Hengsbach von Essen and Bishop Heinrich Maria Janssen von Hildesheim .

The sculptor Hildegard Domizlaff created a ring and a crosier for auxiliary bishop Wilhelm Tuschen on the occasion of the episcopal ordination. After his untimely death, Paderborn's auxiliary bishop Paul Nordhues received a ring and staff.

Wilhelm Tuschen was buried in the chapter cemetery in Paderborn.
