Wilhelm von Platen

Julius Christoph Wilhelm von Platen (born June 14, 1816 on the Zubzow manor on Rügen ; † November 10, 1870 in Bergen on Rügen ) was a Prussian district administrator in the Rügen district (1856–1868) in the Pomeranian province . He was the owner of the Reischvitz manor .

Before that, he had done active military service with the Magdeburg Hussar Regiment No. 10 , retired as Rittmeister in 1855 and received the character of Major in 1865.

Platen married Klara Fabricius in 1838 in Gross-Salze, now part of Schönebeck (Elbe) (born March 30, 1817 in Gross-Salze; † May 9, 1895 in Bergen on Rügen), the daughter of the district court director Ferdinand Fabricius and his wife Johanna née von Schenk . The Platen couple had two sons and two daughters.
