Wilhelm zu Dohna-Schlodien

Wilhelm Karl Hannibal Vincenz Graf zu Dohna-Schlodien (born January 10, 1841 in Graefenberg , Moravian-Silesia , † October 27, 1925 in Klein-Kotzenau , Lower Silesia Province ) was a large German landowner in Silesia . He sat in the Prussian mansion for over 32 years.

Wilhelm zu Dohna came from a wealthy line in Silesia of the Prussian noble family Dohna-Schlodien, part of the Dohna family . His parents were the landowner Hermann zu Dohna-Kotzenau (1809–1872) and Maria geb. Countess von Nostitz (1813–1888). He was married to Wilhelmine von Bagevitz (1846–1937), with whom he had four children:

  • Hermann Hannibal Willy Adolf (1870–1915)
  • Alfred Willy Feodor Emich (1872–1935)
  • Lonny Freda Marie (1873–1964)
  • Freda-Marie Wilhelmine Luise Wally (1874–1948).

Life

Wilhelm zu Dohna studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1863 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . In the German War he fought as a sergeant in the Dragoon Regiment "von Bredow" (1st Silesian) No. 4 . He was wounded in the battle of Nachod . In 1867 he took over the Groß Kotzenau estate and came into the possession of the Kotzenau lordship. These included Klein-Kotzenau, Hummel and Wengen in the Lüben district . He was landscape director in the Liegnitz / Wohlau landscape district . In his regiment he was Rittmeister of the reserve. In 1886 he was appointed to the Prussian mansion for life . Its presentation took place by the association of old and fortified property in the district of Liegnitz and Wohlau. After the mansion was dissolved, he lived in the Free State of Prussia for another seven years .
