Wilhelmstrasse 64 (Heilbronn)
The house Wilhelmstraße 64 is a historical building in Heilbronn , which is under monument protection.
description
The building was built in 1898 by the stove manufacturer Franz Schafferdt as a residential and commercial building. The Heilbronn architect Schulz provided the designs.
The three-storey building is structured by three window axes with twin windows, whereby the central window axis is particularly emphasized. This is done through a central stepped gable in the middle of the facade. Elaborate handicraft building sculpture can be seen on the parapet fields, fittings on the 2nd floor and the stair gable.
In 1950 the building belonged to the master butcher Otto Hoffmann, who had his butcher's shop in it and who also lived in it with other tenants. In 1961 the house was owned by Hoffmann's widow, while the shop on the ground floor was taken over by the butcher Karl Schneider.
