The house Wilhelmstraße 16 is a building with late classical and neo-renaissance form elements in Heilbronn , which is a listed building. It is an example of the transition from classicism to historicism.
description
The double house was built in 1872 by the Heilbronn master craftsman G. Gieß according to his own plans. The two-storey building in exposed masonry, resting on a high basement, is emphasized horizontally; the upper floor is emphasized by a bel étage - with balusters in the parapet fields and window canopies on consoles. A mezzanine rests on the upper floor . The four window axes are symmetrically structured, with the two middle window axes standing close to each other and framed by strongly protruding pilaster strips with diamond ashlar.
history
In 1950 the building belonged to the wine grower Albert Kießling. The pediatrician Wilhelm Hertz had his practice there.
