The house Wilhelmstraße 56 is a historical building in Heilbronn , which is under monument protection.

description

The corner building was built in 1898/1901 according to designs by the Heilbronn architect August Dederer . The three-storey corner building with a beveled corner has two facades. One facade is on Werderstrasse, the other on Wilhelmstrasse .

The facade on Werderstrasse is structured by three window axes, with the central window axis being emphasized by twin windows and a central gable . The facade on Wilhelmstrasse is also structured by three window axes, with the central window axis being emphasized by triple windows with a balcony on the first floor and a central gable.

Elaborate handcrafted building sculpture can be seen above the triple window on the piano nobile and in the curved gable.

history

In 1950 the building belonged to Elisabeth Model, who ran a department store with her husband on the ground floor. In addition, the building locksmith Erwin Böhringer, the building contractor Richard Schulz and the office supplies dealer Richard Eichmüller use rooms in the building. Apartments were also rented. In 1961 only Model, Eichmüller and tenants were registered there. The building now serves as the editorial office for Hanix - Das Magazin from Heilbronn .
