Wilhelmstrasse 66

The house at Wilhelmstrasse 66 is a historic building in Heilbronn , which is a listed building.

description

The building was built in 1903 by the contractor Anton Schneider as a residential and commercial building. The Heilbronn architect Friedrich Schneider provided the designs.

The four-storey building is structured by four window axes, whereby the central axis is particularly emphasized. This is done through a gable in the middle of the facade. Building sculpture in neo-Gothic forms can be seen on the parapets, window crowns, eaves and gables with spherical attachments.

In 1950 the building belonged to the Leuze family, who for a long time ran a fruit and vegetable and grocery store there. After the Heilbronn red light district was built on the nearby Rathenauplatz in the 1970s , the ground floor was converted into a pub ( Liberty Pub ), which at that time was mainly frequented by visitors to the red light district and by soldiers from the nearby American barracks.
