description

The building is an example of a private residence, the architecture of which is based on the Renaissance , and has therefore been placed under monument protection. The building, made of exposed stone masonry, shows a tower that is supposed to be reminiscent of the castles from the Renaissance period. The original interior architecture, which still shows wall paintings and a wall with Gothic cladding, is remarkable . A stucco ceiling in the neo-renaissance style has been preserved there. So it says in the monument topography :

" [...] with the exposed stone masonry and the striking tower is a good example of Renaissance-style residential architecture. Original interior with wall paintings (coat of arms, tendrils), relief-like, e.g. T. Gothic wall paneling, paneled door leaves, carved banisters, neo-renaissance stucco ceiling. "

The building is described in Silent Contemporary Witnesses as follows

Heilbronn has some architectural treasures that need to be rediscovered. This includes the house of the master builder Josef Eckert, which he built in Wilhelmstrasse in 1899, today an enchanted little castle between the big city giants "
