Willi Zurbrüggen

Willi Zurbrüggen (born April 29, 1949 in Borghorst ) is a German literary translator and writer .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a banker, Willi Zurbrüggen worked for an investment bank in Frankfurt am Main.

He later completed a translation course at the English Institute in Heidelberg . Willi Zurbrüggen has been working as a freelance author and literary translator since 1980 . His translation work includes around 100 novels, volumes of short stories, poetry and essays that he has translated from Spanish into German. He has received international awards for his translations. In 2010 his debut novel Nordlich was published .

Willi Zurbrüggen lives and works in Heidelberg. He is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
