William "Billy" Cliff (born October 10, 1992 in Sydney ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Sydney Ice Dogs in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

William Cliff began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Sydney Ice Dogs , for which he still plays with the exception of the 2016 season when he was active for local rivals Sydney Bears . Since 2008 he has been used by the Ice Dogs in the Australian Ice Hockey League . In 2013 he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian national championship, with his club . From 2010 to 2011 he also played occasionally for the second-rate Blacktown Flyers.

International

For Australia, Cliff took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championship of Division III 2009 and rose with his team at the tournament in Taipei to Division II, in which he then played the following year . He was also on the ice in Division II of the 2011 U20 World Junior Championship .

In the men's area, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2013 , 2014 , 2017 and 2018 .
