William Koech
William Koech (born December 2, 1961 in Lelmokwo , Nandi County ) is a retired Kenyan long-distance runner .
In 1991 he won silver over 10,000 m at the Pan-African Games . The following year he finished seventh over the same distance at the Olympic Games in Barcelona .
In the following years he was successful in road races. In 1995 he was third and in 1996 tenth in the New York City Marathon . In 1999 he came in sixth place at the Rome Marathon .
