Wilson Raj Perumal (born July 31, 1965 ) is a convicted Singaporean game manipulator.

Perumal is charged with involvement in several match-fixing systems, such as Asiagate (2007–2009) and the Finnish match-fixing scandal (2008–2011). He was first detained in Singapore in 1995 for match fixing. In the same year, he traveled to England on behalf of a Singaporean match - fixing boss to rig two FA Cup games. According to his autobiography , he and his partner, Ian Bennett , tried to bribe the goalkeeper of Liverpool FC and Dmitri Charin , the goalkeeper of Chelsea London . Both failed.

In February 2011, Perumal was arrested in Finland and sentenced to two years in prison . He served one year of his sentence and was then handed over to the authorities in Hungary .

During his time in the Finnish prison, he spoke to Finnish authorities and revealed the existence of a global match-fixing network out of Singapore.

He published an autobiography about his years as a match maker entitled Kelong Kings . The book was co-authored with investigative journalists Alessandro Righi and Emanuele Piano and published on April 28, 2014. In the book he claims, among other things, is that Nigeria and Honduras only for the 2010 FIFA World Cup have qualified because he has manipulated their qualifying matches and that he also contests at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing manipulated Has. The book also revealed intricate details about the manipulation of friendly warm-up games during the 2010 World Cup. The revelations were corroborated by a FIFA report , excerpts from the New York Times , a month after the book was published.
