Wilton Figueiredo 'wiwtõ figej'redu (born March 17, 1982 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian soccer player . The striker has played in Brazil, Sweden, Qatar, Turkey and Denmark in his career so far.
Career
Figueiredo played in his youth for SB do Campo , SE Palmeiras and FC São Paulo . He played with players like Kaká and Adriano . However, it did not recommend for the first team and therefore moved to Ceará SC in the Brazilian second division, the Série B .
After a season, Figueiredo was invited to a trial training session in Gothenburg in 2005 by the Swedish second division team GAIS . At the same time, league competitor AIK tried to get him, which led to some discrepancies. In Gothenburg he played an outstanding season and was the second top scorer in the league behind Bruno Santos of IFK Norrköping . So he helped the club to return to the Allsvenskan .
After the end of the season, Figueiredo still moved to AIK. He helped the club to runner-up with eleven goals this season. In September 2007, just before the end of the 2007 season , the club announced that the Brazilian striker would leave the club for Qatar . He signed a contract with Al-Rayyan Sports Club . Here he played until the following summer before he was awarded to Al-Kharitiyath SC .
In April 2009 Figueiredo returned to Sweden. After GAIS had tried to return, he signed a four-year contract with the first division team Malmö FF . Here he established himself as a regular, even if he missed the goal threat of the past few years. With five goals this season during the 2010 season , he was nevertheless instrumental in winning the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish national championship. Due to homesickness it then looked like he would break his contract and not return from his home leave, but in January of the following year coach Roland Nilsson announced his stay at MFF after a conversation. In the following season he played four fifths of the season's games and reached the final play-off round of the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League with the team . There she failed at Dinamo Zagreb and was eliminated early in the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League , where he played all of the club's European Cup games.
In the spring of 2013 Figueiredo moved to the Turkish Süper Lig to Gaziantepspor . He left this club after half a season before he was hired by Viborg FF . At the club he played 14 league games (one goal) by the end of the 2013/14 season. Then Figueiredo ended his active career.
