The Harlingerode wind farm , also known as Kaltes Feld wind farm in internal political terms , is a wind farm in the Feldmark of the Lower Saxon town of Harlingerode , a district of Bad Harzburg in the Goslar district . It was built between 2001 and 2002 and consists of a total of five wind turbines .

geography

The wind farm is located on the Stübbeberg, a slope between the town of Harlingerode and the Okertal on the northwestern edge of the Feldmark. The unpopulated, but infrastructural well developed Feldmark between the cities of Bad Harzburg and Goslar was also developed further to the northwest by the Immenrode wind farm . In the east, the Hurle flows past the wind farm, which in turn borders on the four-lane federal highway 6 . To the west of the wind farm is bordered by the Kalte Feld, a heather / deciduous forest landscape shaped by the smelting of the Harlingerode zinc smelter .

history

The city of Bad Harzburg has been considering setting up a wind farm on the roofs of the Stübbe and Galgenbergs since the early 1990s. Already in 1995 was the wheel Anger of the wind farm Schlewecke commissioned. The district of Goslar came to a more specific definition in 1997 when the suitable areas and priority locations were defined.

The wind farm was opened in two steps in 2001 and 2002. First of all, SOWIWAS - Windkonzept 2000 KG set up an Enercon E-66 / 18.70 system , which was put into operation on September 7, 2001. Bürgerstrom GmbH installed two Vestas systems in 2002 ( Vestas V80 2.0 MW ).

extension

An assessment from 2008 by the Braunschweig Regional Association concluded that the Harlingerode wind farm cannot be expanded. The reasons given were the location within the Harz Nature Park / distance of less than 2.5 km to the edge of the Harz and the minimum distance between 200 and 400 meters to residential areas in Harlingerode (distances of at least one kilometer are provided), which also requires repowering because of the to exclude fearful additional burdens for residents.
