Winfried Martini
Winfried Martini (born June 4, 1905 in Hanover , † December 23, 1991 in Bad Endorf ) was a German lawyer and journalist .
Life
Martini completed a commercial apprenticeship after graduating from high school . He then studied law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin .
He began his journalistic career in 1933; from 1935 to 1937 he was the Middle East correspondent for the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung in Jerusalem . Until the 1940s he worked in the armaments industry and at the headquarters of the Foreign Office in Berlin. From 1941 to 1943 he was a correspondent for the United Foreign Press Service in Stockholm . After a political professional ban, he became a soldier in the Wehrmacht .
Martini was briefly an American prisoner of war , but quickly returned to work for press organs such as Die Welt , Christ und Welt , Rheinischer Merkur and Bayerischer Rundfunk . He admired the Portuguese dictator António de Oliveira Salazar ; Martini's book The End of All Security. A criticism from the west. was translated into Portuguese at the instigation of the Propaganda Ministry. He was a member of the CSU Lawyers' Working Group . Martini was married to a daughter of Paul Clemen .
