Winfried Tromp

Winfried Hubert Tromp (born October 24, 1938 in Berlin ; † April 18, 2002 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Winfried Tromp attended a grammar school and passed the Abitur . He studied law at the Free University of Berlin and joined the CDU in 1958. From 1962 he was a journalist and speaker for political education . In the Berlin election in 1967 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives and one year later became the managing director of the “Democratic Club”. In 1970 Tromp became editor of the "Berliner Rundschau" and press spokesman for the CDU Berlin . In the 1975 election he was still a member of parliament, but resigned in May 1975 because the district assembly in the Wedding district had elected him to the district councilor. After ten years as a district councilor, he started working as a freelance journalist again in 1985.

His son is the politician Stephan Tromp (CDU), who was also a member of the House of Representatives. Winfried Tromp was buried in the Wilmersdorf cemetery.
