Winfried Ulrich (born August 25, 1941 in Dramburg , Pomerania ) is a German philologist and linguist .

Life

Ulrich grew up in Tornesch and attended the Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium in Uetersen . After graduating from high school, he studied German and Protestant theology at the University of Hamburg and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . 1969 doctorate he in Hamburg Dr. phil.

He was a research assistant at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) and a study assessor in the Hamburg high school service. In 1970 the University of Education in Reutlingen appointed him professor for German language and literature and its didactics . In 1980 he moved to the PH Kiel, which elected him Vice Rector (1987–1990) and Rector (1990–1993). With the integration of the PH Kiel into the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Ulrich became director of the seminar for German language and literature and its didactics in 1994. From 1996 to 1998 he was Dean of the Faculty of Education. From 2003 until his retirement (2006) he was director of the German studies seminar at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.

He was Scientific Director of the Schleswig-Holstein University Society (2004–2009).
