action

Lauralee Curtis meets Navy pilot Richard Stony Gilchrist on her 20th birthday when he makes an emergency landing at their party and falls head over heels in love. The two married two days later and she followed him to his base. There is no time for a honeymoon as Stony will soon have to take up his new position in Honolulu . On the way there, Lauralee learns that Rosalind, the daughter of Admiral Furness and sister of Stony's colleague Jack, was in love with Stony and now hopes to be able to split the two in order to get together with him. With the other Navy wives on Rosalind's side, Lauralee becomes isolated. At the base in Honolulu, Lauralee often feels alone as her husband is often on duty and she is excluded from the other women. When their former admirer Gregory Chandler shows up in Honolulu, the two get into a fight in a bar. They are arrested and rumors spread quickly about the two of them at the base. Stony's chances for a promotion are gone. Lauralee is so concerned about the consequences that she leaves Stony to get out of the way of his career. Rosalind tells Stony about it, but also mentions that his wife still loves him. Stony then steals a plane and follows Lauralee, who is on the way to the mainland with Gregory on his yacht. The plane crashes and Stony is tried on court-martial . In order not to drag his wife into it, he refrains from defending himself, but Lauralee testifies before the court-martial and takes all the guilt on himself. According to her statement, Stony is pardoned and reconciled with his wife.
