background

Europe had released their self-titled debut album in 1983 after the group won a record deal with the Swedish label Hot Records by participating in a talent competition . Europe reached number eight in the Swedish charts, and the single Seven Doors Hotel was released. The group toured through Scandinavia and Japan before starting work on their second album.
