description

Winzerhaus Barth, outbuilding No. 16

The two-story, under monument protection standing Winzerhaus is located, as well as the side building, with its eaves on the alignment of the north-facing white line of the vineyard road. The building has a "parallelogram" floor plan and a side wing attached to the north-west corner to the north. On top of it sits a hipped roof that follows the angle of the floor plan and whose roof structure is designed as a rafter roof .

The annex, which is also listed, is single-storey and has a gable roof with dormers . There are two arched windows in the gable and two round openings above. The windows facing the street have shutters.

To the east of both plastered buildings stands an old double portal system made of sandstone pillars with triglyphs and profiled cover plates. Another single-storey outbuilding with a hipped roof is in the courtyard.

history

Plan drawing by the Ziller brothers for a villa on the estate of Winzerhaus Barth, not implemented in 1875

The winegrower's house dates from around 1650. The building is documented on Hans August Nienborg's map . The outbuilding dates from around 1845. In 1884 the north-facing wing of the main building was rebuilt.

In 1915 the owner of the orchard was Bruno Barth. In 1931 the property went to Bruno Barth, chairman of the Radebeul wine-growing association. Around 1948, renovations took place on the outbuilding, which made it the current residential building. Its completion in 1948 is dated in a keystone. Renovation work on the northern extension of the main house took place in 1965. The access stairs on the northern facade were demolished and the entrance partially walled up.

In the 1990s, the houses, whose once communal property has now been divided into two lot numbers, were restored by their respective owners in accordance with listed buildings.

In 1875, the construction of a “magnificent villa with belvedere” on the property was broken because of the death of the client at the time. Their finished plans by the master builders, the Ziller brothers , were only executed in mirror-inverted form in 1886 as the “Trinkl” villa in Dresden- Trachau , Großenhainer Strasse 241.

Ulf Große winery

The Große family took over the building that belonged together in 1987, in which guests have been entertained since 1996. The vineyard, which was previously managed externally, has been in the hands of the winemaking family again since 1999. In order to be able to concentrate on the viticulture, the gastronomy in the guest house (No. 14) was given into different hands. The guest rooms are also located in No. 14, the original winegrower's house, while the adjoining building is now the seat of the winery. From 2009 to 2011, a comprehensive renovation of the buildings was carried out in accordance with the listed buildings.

In addition to the vineyard belonging to the Radebeuler Goldener Wagen location, the winery also has other vineyards behind the house in the Radebeuler Steinücken location , so that a total of 2.8 hectares are in yield.
