Wisselward is a district of Kalkar in the Kleve district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Wisselward was an independent municipality .
geography
Wissel Ward of his old peasantry emerged and existing only a few yards agricultural scattered settlement. The Wisselward area is bordered in the north by the Kalkar district of Grieth , in the east by the Rhine , in the south by the Kalkar district of Hönnepel and in the west by Lake Wisseler See . The former municipality of Wisselward had an area of 3.5 km².
history
Since the 19th century, Wisselward formed a rural community in the mayor's office Grieth (since 1935 Kalkar district) in the Kleve district in the Düsseldorf administrative district . On July 1, 1969, Wisselward was incorporated into the city of Kalkar by the law to reorganize the district of Kleve . According to the main statute of the city of Kalkar, Wisselward is part of the city of Kalkar.
