Vladimir Engelsowitsch Legotin ( Russian Владимир Энгельсович Леготин * 25. April 1970 in Syktyvkar ) is a former Russian cross-country skiers .

Career

Legotin had its first international success at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1990 in Les Saisies . There he won the silver medal with the relay. He ran his first of a total of 65 individual World Cup races in December 1992 in Ramsau am Dachstein , which he finished in 75th place in the 10 km freestyle. In January 1993 he got his first world cup points in Kawgolowo with the 16th place over 30 km classic. At the World Championships in Falun in 1993 , he achieved 33rd place over 10 km classic and 23rd place in the subsequent pursuit. The following year he came at the Olympic Winter Games in Lillehammer on 18th place over 10 km classic and 17th in the pursuit. His best placings at the World Championships in Thunder Bay in March 1995 were tenth place in the pursuit and sixth place with the relay. In the 1995/96 season he came in the points six times and achieved his best overall placement with 34th place in the overall World Cup. He achieved his best individual placement in the World Cup with ninth place in the 15 km freestyle in Brusson . He repeated this placement in December 1998 in Davos over 30 km classic. In the 1997/98 season he won in Santa Caterina Valfurva with the relay and took third place in Lahti with the relay. His best results at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano were ninth place over 30 km classic and fifth place with the relay. He completed his last World Cup race in February 2003 in Asiago , which he finished classically in 41st place over 10 km. At the World Championships in 2003 in Fiemme Valley , he ran 31st place over 50 km freestyle and 26th place over 15 km classic.
