Wijnyzja (Ukrainian Війниця ; Russian Войница / Woiniza , Polish Wojnica ) is a village in western Ukraine in Volyn Oblast , Lokatschi district about 7 kilometers north of the district capital Lokachi and 45 kilometers west of the oblast capital Lutsk .
On June 20, 2018, the village became the center of the newly established rural community of Wijnyzja ( Війницька сільська громада Wijnyzka silska hromada ). At that includes also the 12 villages Beheta (Бегета) Beresowytschi (Березовичі) Bobytschi (Бобичі) Chworostiw (Хворостів) Hubyn (Губин) Jakowytschi (Яковичі) Mychajliwka (Михайлівка) Mischlissja (Міжлісся) Osjutytschi , Pavlovichi (Павловичі), Sapust (Запуст) and Tumyn (Тумин), until then the village formed the district council of the same name together with the villages of Hubyn , Mychajliwka , Pavlovichi and Tumyn .
history
The place is mentioned in writing for the first time in 1542 and until 1793 belonged to the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania in the Volhynia Voivodeship . With the partitions of Poland , the place fell to the Russian Empire and was in the Volhynia governorate until the end of the First World War .
After the First World War, the place came to Poland (in the Voivodeship of Volhynia , Powiat Horochów , Gmina Kisielin ), during World War II it was occupied by the Soviet Union between 1939 and 1941 . After the attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941, it was occupied by Germany until 1944 , this divided the place into the Reichskommissariat Ukraine in the general district Brest-Litowsk / Volhynien-Podolia , district Gorochow .
After the war, the place was added to the Soviet Union. There the village came to the Ukrainian SSR and since 1991 it has been part of today's Ukraine.
