Wolf Dietrich Fritz Wegener (born March 20, 1933 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer and entrepreneur .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1951 at Arndt-Gymnasium Dahlem , Wegener studied law in Berlin , Freiburg im Breisgau , Geneva , Kiel and Paris . In 1957 , Wegener received his doctorate from the University of Kiel. In 1960 Wegener opened his first law firm in Berlin. After the fall of the wall , he founded his first partner firm in the eastern part of the city, focusing on economic issues, insurance and traffic law. Before reaching the age limit in 2003, Wegener was a notary in Berlin for several decades . From 1992 to 2001 Wegener was the name partner of the global law firm "Beiten Burkhardt Mittl & Wegener". Since 2001 he has been a managing partner of the law firm Wolf Wegener Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

From 1996 to 2008 Wegener was Honorary Consul of the Principality of Monaco .

Wegener is married and has a daughter.

Honorary positions

From 1978 to 2008, Wegener was chairman of the board of directors of ADAC Berlin, since the reunification of ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg. During his time on the board, air rescue with the helicopter Christoph 31 (1987) and the ADAC breakdown service on the transit routes (1988) were introduced. From 1987 to 2004 he was also General Syndicate of ADAC Germany and, in this role, also managed the organization of the more than 650 ADAC contract lawyers .

Wolf Wegener was a member of the Group Advisory Board of Volkswagen AG and the Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG for two decades ; Former member of the ADAC board of directors and supervisory boards of ADAC subsidiaries (holding companies) and deputy chairman of the supervisory boards of ADAC Rechtsschutzversicherungs-AG and ADAC Verlags-GmbH. From 1988 to 2005 Wegener was a member of the board of the German Academy for Transport Science and for some time a member of the advisory board of the legal journal DAR. He was the main initiator of the “Save the avenues” campaign, from which the “ Deutsche Alleenstrasse ” emerged. He has been a member of the Senate of the ADAC General Club since 2008.
