Wolf von Zworowsky

Wolf von Zworowsky (born February 18, 1924 in Kassel ; † May 14, 2015 ) was a German politician ( CDU , DP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1942, he became an aircraft pilot and observer in the air at the front in the last phase of the Second World War. After returning from captivity, he studied pedagogy and passed the teaching examination in 1949 and the state examination in 1953. He then taught as a teacher at secondary schools and grammar schools.

Zworowsky was married and had three children.

politics

CDU and state parliament mandate

His political career began in 1948 when he joined the CDU and the Junge Union . In the youth organization of the CDU he was active in various executive bodies until 1962. He also held various board positions in the CDU. Among other things, he was a member of the state executive committee.

From 1958 to February 23, 1979 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament and held the office of vice-president of the state parliament during the 8th legislative period from 1974 to 1978. At the same time he sat from 1960 to 1964 as a city councilor in Kassel's town hall.

In 1964 he was a member of the 4th Federal Assembly , in 1974 a member of the 6th Federal Assembly.

German party

Von Zworowsky played a key role in the re-establishment of the German party in May 1993 and was also its federal chairman until 1994, before he resigned from the party chairmanship for reasons of age.

Awards

In 1973 Wolf von Zworowsky was honored with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany, and in 1978 with the Cross of Merit 1st Class.
