Wolfgang Feuerlein

Wolfgang Feuerlein (born October 10, 1924 , † May 3, 1992 in Reutlingen ) was a German football player .

From Sportfreunde Calw, the midfielder moved to SSV Reutlingen 05 , who initially competed in the Oberliga Südwest after the Second World War . The league season 1949/50 finished Wolfgang Feuerlein with the SSV in the group south of the Oberliga Südwest as relay champion and after a final defeat against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the southwest German championship finals also as southwest German runner-up. When SSV Reutlingen lost 1-0 in extra time to Prussia Dellbrück in the final round of the German championship in 1950 in the round of 16 , Feuerlein was in action over the full game distance. After a change of association of SSV Reutlingen in the Oberliga Süd , Wolfgang Feuerlein rose with the SSV in the following season in the II. Division . In the II. Division 1953/54 he rose again to the Oberliga Süd with the SSV. After the runner-up with the SSV in the Oberliga Süd in the following season , his team failed in the qualifying round of the finals for the German championship in 1955 , in which Feuerlein was not used due to an injury, at the SV Sodingen and Wormatia Worms . In the subsequent league season 1955/56 followed for Feuerlein and his Reutlinger the renewed descent into the II. Division. Then he succeeded in direct resurgence with SSV Reutlingen in the 1956/57 season .

Wolfgang Feuerlein died of sudden cardiac death at the age of 67.
